DCRC Personal Assistance Specialists provide members with the information, training and assistance they need to hire a qualified personal care attendant. Specialists teach members on how they can contact, interview, hire and negotiate pay. DCRC also provides a list of screened personal care providers with their wage and skills, and provide follow-up for 3 months to ensure that the member is receiving the service that they need and that no other issues arise.

The Independent Living Skills Program (ILS) teaches and supports people with disabilities to live independently in activities including personal care, money management, and transportation. Clients receive an assessment of their needs and develop a personalized Independent Living Plan with goals and objectives.

Get benefits assistance for veterans

MVA provides online and in-person assistance and information on benefits entitlements for veterans, including benefits for prisoners of war (POWs), disability compensation, burial benefits, dependent benefits, incarcerated veteran benefits, and more.

Participate in an independent living program for adults with disabilities

Exceptional Children\’s Foundation organizes an independent living program for adults with disabilities. Participants live and learn in apartments as they develop a wide range of life skills. Staff support residents with money management, housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, personal care, emergency response, and community involvement. As residents gain experience and confidence in their independent living skills, staff support them in using these skills to transition to a home of their own with less direct support.

Get adult daycare for seniors

OneGeneration offers assistance to family members who require support while working or caring for their loved ones. Program participants engage in invigorating activities, social interactions, and physical exercises.
