Disability Resource Center provides training on the safe and effective use of public transportation and information on schedules and travel.

The Home Delivered Meals Program is designed for homebound individuals. The program delivers a nutritious meal on a daily basis and also serves as a way to check up on the safety of the participant.

The Communication Assistance services include document translation, free use of videophones, and equipment demonstrations​ for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The One-on-One Tutoring Program pairs a special education teacher with a student to improve their reading and writing skills.

City of South Pasadena offers a home delivery meal program Monday through Friday for adults age 55 and older, or people with disabilities who are unable to cook for themselves.

Mercy Housing offers affordable housing for single adults, seniors, families, people with disabilities, and people who are experiencing homelessness.

City of Bell Garden offers rides within Bell Gardens to seniors 55 and over, and people with disabilities.

Artesia Christian Home provides a 66-bed nursing facility with trained staff. The nursing facility includes Wi-Fi and basic cable, climate-controlled rooms, an emergency call system, recreation, educational programs, meals, and bible studies.

Compton USD\’s Compton Adult School offers the Exceptional Adult Center. The Center\’s primary purpose is to assist persons with developmental disabilities to become confident, contributing members of society. The curriculum is centered on social and everyday basic living skills.

Community Lawyers, Inc. hosts legal clinics on the educational rights of children with disabilities. The clinics provide reviews of the Individualized Education Plan (“IEP”), advice on procedural protections, and document preparation.

Home Improvement Program provides free home improvement services for people with a disability and senior citizens in Torrance. Services include disability home upgrades, light plumbing, yard services, paint, and minor repairs.

The residential program at Valley Village provides 24-hour residential care for adults with developmental disabilities in the San Fernando Valley. The residences are family-style housing where clients live as a family with care providers and are integrated into the community. The Valley Village Residential Program functions continuously throughout the year.

New Horizons\’ Youth Navigation Program supports students with developmental disabilities and their families in the transition from high school to adult services.

GLAD provides free health education with the idea that the deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, and deaf-disabled community’s best possible defense against illness and disease is obtaining accurate information.

The Disabled Students Program & Services (DSPS) office provides academic workshops, resource connections, career counseling, and other support for students with disabilities at Los Angeles Southwest College.

The Adult Day Support Center (ADSC) provides services to adults with severely profound developmental disabilities who are not ready for work activity centers or other ongoing day programs. Clients receive motor skills therapy and participate in activities that build daily living, social, and recreation skills.

The Traditional Legal Assistance Program provides a lawyer whose services include consultation at senior center sites, in-home consultations with individuals confined to the home, and monthly community legal education seminars at selected sites.

SCIL offers referrals to an appropriate service provider for individuals with disabilities.

TASK helps families of children with disabilities learn how to navigate education for their children, including each child\’s right to education without discrimination. Services include free telephone support and assistance with special education and the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, plus workshops on special education and transition planning. It also offers free IEP consultations and document review.

Phone-a-Ride transportation program is a service offered to South Gate residents 62+ years old or permanently disabled for a small fee. Service is available for medical transportation and for local grocery trips in South Gate.
