The Supported Employment Program helps individuals with disabilities ages 16 and above with job training, career assessment, and resume development. SEEK also has community resource specialists to help match each individual to a business site based on their needs and skill set.

InClusion Services provides Adaptive Skills Training (AST) to help individuals with developmental disabilities live independently. The program includes training and instruction in personal hygiene, toileting, and health and nutrition.

New Horizons Residential program allows adults with developmental disabilities to live in one of 13 residential homes located throughout the San Fernando Valley. Staff are available 24/7 to support residents\’ basic needs and independent living skills.

All of KEEN\’s programs are based on a single principle: pair a trained volunteer with an athlete and let them discover together how much they can do. Programs are all free, open and unstructured, allowing athletes facing significant challenges to have fun and be successful. KEEN programs are open to all youth ages 5-21 with physical or developmental disabilities. Certain programs are for select age groups only.

Collaborative Housing program offers affordable, permanent and supportive housing to individuals with disabilities in single family houses throughout Los Angeles County. Individuals must be willing to share a room, help with chores, work/volunteer, and attend self-help support groups.

North Los Angeles County Regional Center coordinates services for children age 3 and under who have disabilities. Families must first apply for eligibility and an assessment.

Congregate Meals meeting USDA dietary guidelines are offered to mobile older adults at meal sites such as senior centers, or parks, throughout Los Angeles County. The meals are provided by contracted service providers.

MERCI offers an extended services program for individuals with disabilities who need extra care in the morning or afternoon. A Regional Center referral is required.

JFS’ Home Delivered Meal program provides home-bound seniors and people with diverse abilities with meals. You can receive either a hot meal each day or a week’s worth of frozen meals.

Don Knabe Wellness Center provides educational and fitness level programs, including peer support groups for individuals with a disability, their families, community, and Rancho staff. Some groups are led by professionals and others are peer support groups.

Assistive technology services are adaptive, assistive or rehabilitation products or devices to assist individuals with communication, mobility, learning, recreation; overcome or deal with physical or mental challenges; and help with daily life activities. Items include furniture with lifts, clothing with Velcro or snaps, scooters/walkers, grab bars, hearing devices and amplifiers, seat lifts and motion sensors.

TASK offers free workshops on the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process for parents, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and assistive technologies, and special education for children ages 0-26 years.

The Independent Living Skills Training (ILS) offers young adults and adults daily living, communication, social interaction and functional skills training necessary to promote greater independence and quality of life.

JFLA offers interest-free loans up to $6,000 for expenses related to caring for a child with special needs, including autism and developmental disabilities. Expenses include home repairs, diagnosis, behavioral support and medical equipment.

Hacienda Grande offers an assisted living facility for seniors where they are cared for by licensed professionals. Services include 24 hour care giving, housekeeping, transportation, laundry service, physical therapy, library, and dietary services.

Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) provides services to improve quality of life and maintain independence of seniors and residents with disabilities in Beach Cities. Services include errand assistance, in home exercise, and companionship.

InClusion Services provides Adaptive Skills Training (AST) to help individuals with developmental disabilities live independently. The program includes skills training in banking and purchasing.

CDI provides therapy and developmental services for children age 5 and younger struggling with sleeping, eating, bathing, self care, coordinating body movements, interacting with others or exploring and playing. CDI offers occupational and physical therapy and will create an individual plan for each child.

PACE provides free minor home repairs for eligible senior and disabled homeowners in the City of Los Angeles to address health, safety, and security issues in and around their home.
