The program provides care and activities for adults with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, post-stroke, Parkinson’s or other conditions that may require assistance and supervision. Activities include gardening, pet therapy, arts and crafts plus live music.

AFEC\’s offers programs to help connect children and their families to support services including pediatric health consultations, dental, vision and hearing screenings, maintenance of immunization records, disabilities screenings and more.

Locate a local regional center

California Department of Developmental Services offers an online search tool to find a local regional center. Non-profit organizations called regional centers provide diagnosis and assessment of eligibility and help plan, access, coordinate and monitor the services. There is no charge for the diagnosis and eligibility assessment. Once eligibility is determined, most services are free regardless of age or income.

Get behavioral therapy for individuals with special needs

Leaps n Boundz provides home-based and community-based behavioral services for individuals with special needs including autism, developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities. Staff provide behavior analysis and therapeutic recreational programs such as adaptive sports, social skills group sessions, preschool adapted physical education, camp programs, and community building activities.

Get respite care for caregivers of seniors

El Encanto Healthcare & Habilitation Center provides short-term residential respite care for seniors and individuals with disabilities to help primary caregivers. Services include physical therapy, wound care, recreational activities, and meals.

Get legal support for regional center clients

The Office of Clients\’ Rights Advocacy (OCRA), a part of Disability Rights California, provides advocacy services to regional center clients of all 21 regional centers throughout California, their families, and interested community members. The services include free legal information, advice, and representation.

Access a free audio news service

NFB-NEWSLINE is a free audio news service for anyone who is blind, low-vision, deafblind, or otherwise print-disabled that offers access to over 500 publications, emergency weather alerts, and job listings. Accounts are available for adults and children.

Get comprehensive medical services

St. John\’s provides a complete range of medical services, from routine preventive care to management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Other services include: primary medical care for all life stages, screening for chronic medical conditions, podiatry services, weekly fitness and lifestyle management classes, and senior/disability services.
