Camp Paivika is an overnight summer camp for adults and children with mild to severe developmental and physical disabilities such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and Down syndrome. Campers participate in guided play, social skills building and exploration.

Services offered include: STD screening and treatment, cervical cancer screening, breast exams, referrals for mammograms, colposcopies, Pap test, testing and treatment for urinary tract infections and vaginal infections, and problems with periods.

Get a free ride for senior residents of Monterey Park

Dial-A-Ride is a free shared transportation service for Monterey Park senior residents ages 55 and older or people with disabilities that travels within city limits. Additional service provided for medical appointments to adjacent communities in Alhambra, Montebello, San Gabriel, and other unincorporated LA County areas.

Receive occupational therapy for children

Exceptional Children\’s Foundation offers occupational therapy for children who have or who are at risk for physical or cognitive deficits, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, developmental and/or learning disorders, and maladaptive behaviors. Therapy is focused on work and play activities that help children improve or restore function, enhance development and prevent disability brought on by illness, injury, or deprivation.

Get support for older people who are blind or visually impaired

The Older Individuals who are Blind (OIB) Program provides services to visually impaired individuals, age 55 and older, to assist them to live independently in California. The OIB program seeks to stimulate independent living, empowerment and full inclusion of older individuals who are blind or visually impaired, as well as providing training and skill building for professionals serving the older blind population.

Apply to a home visiting program

VOALA offers home visiting programs for children 0-5 years old and pregnant parents. Participants receive assessments for development, health, nutrition, mental health, & disabilities. Families with identified needs receive appropriate services & support.
