EDD provides short-term Disability Insurance (DI) and Paid Family Leave (PFL) to eligible workers who need time off work to care for a seriously ill family member, bond with a new child, or attend a family member’s military deployment to a foreign country.
Eligibility Requirements
Based on a valid social security number, work history for the past 18 months before disability, and amount paid into social security.
