Get a PTSD service dog for veterans
Communities Actively Living Independent and Free
Paws for Life offers the chance for veterans with a disability to adopt a support dog for free. Select applicants will be matched with a service dog best suited for them and then attend a five day training camp to learn how to navigate their new dog.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must have a diagnosed disability which is documented in a letter by a Medical Doctor, or Psychiatrist. 2. Must receive or train a dog that possesses the proper temperament and aptitude for service dog work to alleviate the effects of that disability.
